The Endless Sea

Existing as the space between Realms, the Endless Sea is an infinite expanse of constantly shifting and warping reality. Water flows upwards from nothing, rocks and islands drift through the air, and impossible formations appear in the distance before morphing or vanishing in an instant. A person's sense of up, down, left and right can shift without warning.

The Essence here is so potent that traversing the Sea is near impossible for an ordinary human. Only those born of Essence, such as Travellers, can make their way through it unaided. Because of this, very few people are aware the Endless Sea exists at all, and even those who are understand little about it — what it is, how to cross it, or how it came to be.

Geography

The Endless Sea has no fixed geography due to its ever-changing nature. It is infinite, with few discernable landmarks or reliable directions.
